These instructions are for using the software that is included with Windows XP:
When your family sends pictures in an email and you want to save them to My Pictures--
At the bottom of page by the letters and numbers of the pictures, right click
Left click on Save All
In the list that is given, look in My Documents for My Pictures. Click on My Pictures. The pictures will be filed there.
Later, go to Start>My Pictures
Make a folder for your pictures--Click on Make a new folder. Then you can drag the new pictures into that folder. Or you can click on Move picture and Select the folder you want to put it in.
Hint: For easy filing and finding, I label my folders with the year first, then the month, then the name. For instance, 2007 July SB Adamses or 2007-7-SB Adamses for pictures coming from our Santa Barbara family
Later you can make a shortcut on the Desktop for My Pictures.
Go to Start--then left click on My Pictures and drag to the Desktop.
